On November 27, 2007 Saigon Invest Group (SGI) and Marubeni Group signed Strategy Partner Agreement and build an energy and industry complex in Binh Dinh with the value of 1.5 billion USD. According to this Agreement, besides carrying out to build thermoelectric plant, the two sides will also carry out to build electricity production group by wind power in Vietnam. This project is the first one with industrial scale in Vietnam which makes a positive contribution to diversify technological applications in producing friendly electricity and preserving environment into Vietnam.

With the agreed value of 1.5 billion USD, the Agreement between SGI and Marubeni Group is also the one with the largest value signed on the occasion of President Nguyen Minh Triet’s official visit to Japan this times.
